Oil Separator

An air oil separator is a crucial component in compressors, specifically designed to separate oil from compressed air. This device ensures that oil used for lubrication and cooling within the compressor is effectively removed from the compressed air stream before the air is delivered to the system. It typically consists of a cylindrical element made of layers of filtration media that trap and coalesce oil droplets. The recovered oil is returned to the compressor’s oil reservoir, while clean, oil-free air exits the separator. Air oil separators help maintain compressor efficiency, reduce oil consumption, and prevent oil contamination in downstream equipment.
